‘BIZARD’ is a pretty simple project; it’s where I illustrate a series of weird birds and lizards.  Why birds and lizards?  Well, besides my perhaps too intense obsession with drawing people, they are the two animals that I love to draw.  I find them both to be strange, yet beautiful creatures; perhaps a bit misunderstood.  And if I want to be scientific, birds are descendants of dinosaurs, which were reptiles that were big lizards, so birds are in fact closely related to lizards….at least certainly more than they are related to, say horses.

The birds and lizards in ‘BIZARD’ require a certain attitude and style to be included in the series.  They might have something to say, or they might just want a big juicy worm.  I might stop at 12, I might go on.  I might sell them as prints, I might continue to just make ‘might’ statements…….
